Hello friends! We are Rodney and Tanya Penn. In 2021 we relocated to Springfield from Salina KS. Together we have four children, one grandson, and two pups. Being a blended family we are always coming and going!
We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this June!
Both Tanya and Rodney have spent many years in non-profit ministry. Our most memorable and rewarding positions have been working with individuals who have been broken, discarded, and unwanted. Tanya worked with female survivors of human trafficking and Rodney ran short-term programs at a a rescue mission.
Our passion is people! It’s about fellowship and the enjoyment of being in the same space together. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Our story
Every great journey begins with a story. Ours is Penn & Palette, born out of the boredom of COVID and the Grace of God. During the shutdown period we began re-creating home decor. We were quickly hooked on DIY! Suddenly the “free” stuff on the curb had hope and new life. The rusty bucket became a lampshade, the old sewing cabinet, a laptop desk. It all had “Re-Purpose!” In 2013 God brought together two broken lives and gave them “Re-Purpose!” At Penn & Palette it is our passion to share the joy of DIY and Re-Purpose. Whether it’s to purchase some one-of-a-kind items, get inspired, take a class, hold a private party, or grab a cup of coffee and chat. You’re welcome here!
